In between our first and second course was a intermezzo of diced fresh zucchini with a balsamic reduction. It was presented to us with a fun pour over demonstration. I love gazpacho, so this was right up my alley. Our first course included a chilled heirloom tomato soup. It was everything you could hope for in fresh bread! A warm basket of bread topped with sea salt and a side of fluffy whipped butter was placed in front of us. Helen’s is known for its craft cocktails, so of course I had to order one and went with the blueberry basil mojito. We were lucky enough to have a tailored menu just for us. Our group sat outside on the wooden deck patio with beautiful views of the resort. Beyond amazing service, romantic atmosphere and delicious food Helen’s Restaurant is located on the original homestead of the owners of Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Helen’s Restaurant and Other Dining OptionsĪfter exploring the resort a bit, it was time for dinner at the resort’s famous Helen’s Restaurant. Seven Springs hosts tons of trails perfect for hiking and exploring. The land of the resort is filled with mountains and wildlife and spreads out over 5,000 acres of terrain. This place is HUGE! How huge? So big it can hold up to 5,000 guests at one time! Naturally, Seven Springs is popular for conferences, weddings, family reunions and events. Because of this you can see the various additional buildings added next to each other over the years. The resort really grew over the years and growth meant more hotel space was needed. Seven Springs still shows off its Bavarian Heritage with traditional decor and atmosphere. Seven Springs was originally built by Bavarian immigrants who put their heritage in the architectural design of the resort. Seven Springs Resort is the perfect retreat whether you are on a girls’ trip, family vacation or even romantic getaway. The best place to stay to experience Laurel Highlands is Seven Springs Resort. With so much to do and see, you’re going to want to turn your Laurel Highlands trip into a multi day getaway. Spreading 3,000 square mile, Laurel Highlands PA is filled with beautiful mountains, national and state parks, historic sites and cultural towns. The Laurel Highlands is located about 2 1/2 hours from Frederick, MD and within 200 miles of the major surrounding metropolitan areas of Cleveland, Baltimore, DC and Pittsburgh. Earlier this summer I was able to take a little momma break and head to Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands.
